This is a different approach from my latest albums. It is a concept album I created for Neal D. Rekte´s project Random Stranger Audio Album.
Based upon an idea from Norbert Kutz aka EISENLAGER, the task was to randomly choose someone from my friend´s list or a stranger and dedicate this album to him.
I chose someone I often see in my hometown. In fact it is really amazing how often we meet. He seems to be homeless, but there seem to be people who take care of him. Next and foremost important is that he seems to be schizophrenic or psychotic, very often he looks tormented and filled with pain. At times he gets very aggressive, auto-aggressive to make it clear, and he beats himself - but since he seems like to be close to people at a busstop etc., it sometimes happenes that in beating himself he beats a person standing close. So he will get a lot of trouble with the police. I turned to the police one time when he was so tormented and torn and suffering and auto-aggressive at his mirrored image in a shop-window, to ask if there was any way of helping him. They knew who I meant and said that he did not want any help, and that morning an elderly lady who had asked him if she could help was pushed aside by him and fell and hurt herself.
It is always a pain in the heart when I see this man...at times he stands still for hours as if he was waiting for something to happen, or as if he was just watching....
But since I see him so often and am so touched by his sufferings, I ask myself if there is any karmic connection between us.
So this music is dedicated to him, the unknown tormented soul
